Not sure where or when to go surfing to actually practice your skills? Some surf spots are perfect for practicing. Some will absolutely humble you. To improve as a beginner, you need beginner waves at beginner spots, it's as simple as that.
So we built the whole app around it.
What's Actually Changed?
The entire app is now tailored to you, as a beginner. That means you'll only see beginner waves at beginner spots, so every session is actually a chance to progress, not get worked.
Finding Waves Nearby
Looking for somewhere close to practice? The new Nearby tab makes finding beginner-friendly waves a snap. Open the app, tap Nearby, and you'll see beginner spots with beginner waves, sorted by how close they are to you.
No more scrolling through spots that aren't right for where you're at.
New Filters on Explore
We've upgraded the Explore page with a set of filters built specifically for finding your next practice spot. Use them to zero in on exactly what you're after:
- Spots suited for a beginner
- Beginner-friendly waves
- Distance from your current location
Set your filters once, and the Explore page does the sorting for you.
Same Filters on My Spots
Once you've saved a few spots to your favourites, you get access to all the same filters on your My Spots page too.
And because we know some spots deserve top billing:
You can reorder your favourites, so the spots you love most sit right at the top, where they belong.
